Privacy

This page says what happens to the details you give Okae, and how to take them back.

Who runs okae.ai

I'm Thomas Norton, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, and I'm the one responsible for your data. Questions go to hello@okae.ai.

What I collect

Why

Your email lets me tell you how Okae is going and when you can try it. Your answers and messages help me understand your team and reply to you. The request logs keep the site running and safe from abuse. I don't sell your data, and I don't use it for advertising.

Legal basis

Your consent. You give it when you sign up or write to me, and you can withdraw it whenever you like: reply to any email from Okae or write to hello@okae.ai. The request logs are the exception. The site can't run without them, so they rest on my legitimate interest in keeping it up and secure.

Who processes it

These companies handle your data for me:

Data outside Switzerland

These providers store and process data in the United States and other countries. Where a provider is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, that covers the transfer. Where it isn't, the Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing agreement do. Ask me for a copy of the safeguards that apply.

How long I keep it

Until you ask me to remove it, or until the project stops. If Okae shuts down, I'll delete the list. Vercel deletes its request logs on its own schedule.

Cookies and tracking

There are none. okae.ai sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser saves that choice in its local storage, and it never leaves your device.

Your rights

Swiss data protection law, and the GDPR if you're in the EU, let you:

Nothing here makes automated decisions about you.

Write to hello@okae.ai from the address in question and I'll reply within 30 days. If you think I've mishandled your data, you can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland, or to the data protection authority in your EU country.
